HOLMES Chapel’s primary target is to avoid a third successive defeat when they travel to Bowdon’s seconds in the North West Intermediate League this weekend.
After a fortnight without a fixture, the men from Station Road will be raring to go.
They currently sit 10th in Division Two South, but have games in hand on almost all of their rivals.
Meanwhile Chapel’s seconds progressed in the Lighting and Building Services Plate following a 43-10 success at Tarleton thirds last weekend.
Jack Cottam, Jim Moss, Dom Moss, Andy Davies and Will Mitchell were among the scorers.
They host Eagle’s seconds in a league game on Saturday.
