ALDERLEY Edge remain third in the ECB Premier League after a 71-run home victory over Toft.
Their 277, including 93 from skipper Adam Worrall and 69 from Khalid Sawas 69, was too much for the visitors.
Toft were all out for 206 after a last wicket stand of 65 between Rob Jones and Jimmy Lomas.
Jones scored all 65 of the runs before being last out for 141 which featured 14 fours and eight sixes.
Alderley Edge visit Hyde on Saturday, while hoping the sides above them, Chester Boughton Hall and Nantwich, slip up.
As things stand, two more wins for Chester will hand them the title.
