MARK Newall set aside the disappointment of losing a final earlier this month when he captured the Redwood Hire Champions Trophy for a third time.
The Mobberley A man proved too strong for clubmate Paul Adkin at Victory Hall, posting a break of 32 on his way to a 2-0 victory.
He had been the best player from the start last Wednesday, enjoying a run of 42 in a semi-finals success against Richard Owen (Mere).
Adkin had earlier seen off his Division Two opponent, Mere’s Chris Bushell, in similar fashion.
Newall later claimed the biggest share of a cash prize, adding to overall victories in 2010 and again in 2014.
