WILMSLOW Hockey Club women’s first team had mixed fortunes in their two matches.
They came out on top of an intense league clash with Bolton on Saturday 2-1 with goals from Becca Healy.
The next day they lost 1-0 to Prescot in the EHB Trophy.
Wilmslow’s men’s second team notched a 7-1 success against Colwyn Bay, setting up a top-of-the-table clash at Bowdon on Saturday.
Goals from Jack Wright, Pheiffer and Cameron Armstrong made it 3-1 at the break.
Wilmslow continued to pile forward and added further goals through Pheiffer, Martin Hall, Matt Bonner and Roger Eden in the second period.
The men’s third team also had great success with a 5-0 win over Timperley.
Early pressure led to an opening goal for the tireless Corby.
Armstrong linked with Young who cut the ball back for Welsh to finish.
Wilmslow added further goals after slick interchanges of passing and movement courtesy of Price, Dukes and Corby again.
The ladies second team beat Bowdon 3-0, with goals from Grace Kerner, Fiona Jeffers and Jenny Middleton Egan putting them three points clear at the top of their table.
