ALDERLEY Edge’s pursuit of the Cheshire County League Premier Division crown remains on track.

The Moss Lane men were massive 184-run winners against bottom side Urmston on Saturday, leaving them 44 points clear of second-placed Bowdon as they prepare to visit another struggling side Neston this weekend.

Alderley rattling up 277-9, with Khalid Sawas (64) and Adam Worrall (60) leading the way.

Lancashire’s leg-spinning discovery Matthew Parkinson took 4-88 for Urmston including the wicket of his Red Rose colleague Jordan Clark for 51.

In reply, Urmston mustered just 93, with Clark taking 5 for 41.
