TATTON bowed out of the Knutsford and District League’s Team Knockout after losing to lower-ranked opponents in the last 16.
They fell short by 36 points on aggregate against Division Two promotion hopefuls Wilmslow RBL.
Mobberley B did not need the benefit of a 20-point handicap head-start to beat top-flight rivals Wilmslow Cons A, while Mobberley D complete the quarter-finals line up following a convincing success at Shaw Heath’s expense.
Steve Flinders’ run of 47 was a highlight for champions Mobberley A during a whitewash of back-markers Brook Street B in Division One on Thursday.
Morley A hang on to second spot after edging Wilmslow Cons A, while Tatton’s head-to-head with Mere B was a similarly close encounter.
Elsewhere, Mobberley B hammered Brook Street A.
Morley B continue to lead the way in Division Two following a comfortable success at Mobberley E, leaving closest rivals Wilmslow RBL seven points adrift.
They won 5-2 at Mere A.
Wilmslow Cons B squeezed past Mere C on aggregate, while Mobberley D surprised Mobberley C to win for only the second time this term.
