CHAMPIONS Mobberley A recorded a seventh successive win in the Knutsford and District Amateur League’s top flight to establish a six-point lead at the summit.
They won at Brook Street A on Thursday, while Morley A remain in second spot after beating Tatton by the same score.
There were wins too for Mobberley B, at Mere B’s expense, and third-placed Wilmslow Cons A who send promoted Brook Street B to the bottom of the pile.
Morley B won a battle of the leading teams in Division Two in convincing fashion, restricting Wilmslow RBL to a single frame.
Captain Bob Spilsbury’s run of 30 for Mobberley C was a highlight of his side’s success against Wilmslow Cons B, while Mere A rise to fourth after thrashing clubmates Mere C.
Shaw Heath occupy third place following a 5-2 win against Mobberley D.
