ADAM Jenkinson’s aim is to finish the 2015 season as a champion after announcing will contest a full campaign with the Northern Escalator Installations team.

The Knutsford rider will race once more for the Halifax-based outfit in the Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship following a switch part-way through last year.

He will do so on board a new Yamaha machine.

“I’m going all out for the title this time,” said the 30-year-old.

“It won’t be easy because the Superstock class always provides close racing, but we’re in a strong position and I’m up for the challenge.

“It’s a category I feel at home in, and one I enjoy.”

Jenkinson finished as runner-up two years ago, taking fifth at the end of a disrupted season last time around that he started with Steve Brogan’s Team SBR.

His best result was second at Donington Park, alongside a further seven top six finishes.

Jenkinson will test his R1 bike at Cartagena, in Spain, before an official pre-season run at Donington later this month.

The series’ first round follows at the same circuit at Easter.

“I’m grateful for an opportunity to have another crack at the Superstock 1000 title,” added Jenkinson.

“There is a lot of development work to be done, but that’s a challenge I’ll relish.

“I’m confident we’ll be ready in time.”

Northern Escalator Installations can count on technical assistance from SMR Performance, who will spearhead the Japanese manufacturer’s assault on the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship.
