GYMNASTS from Knutsford have been rated the best in the county at the Cheshire & Merseyside Grades.
Emma Routs and Mia Platt, both seven, placed first and second respectively in the in age category at City of Liverpool Gymnastics Club, home for triple world champion Beth Tweddle.
“They smashed it,” said coach Ruth Chapman who runs Gymfinity, based at Egerton Youth Club, of which the duo is a part.
Reward for Emma and Mia is a place in the Cheshire & Merseyside representative team for this weekend’s North West Grades.
In the out of age class, eight-year-olds Maya Ashcroft and Milana Marsden-Taylor both passed at Grade 14. Sophie Baldwin, aged nine, achieved a distinction.
