Jodrell Side WI by Pat Alston
The 1915 Street Party of the Jodrell Side WI seemed to be a great success. Certainly the members who were involved had a good time and visitors entered into the spirit of the occasion especially joining in with the old time songs. There was a comprehensive display of the clubs and activities that Jodrell Side enjoy proving that the WI are not just ‘Jam and Jerusalem’. Several members took part in the Fun Quiz at Cranage Village Hall and Stella Potts, Diana Blake and Pat Alston came second in the competition. The theme for the October meeting is Growing Up in Post War Germany and Dagmar Barnes will be the speaker.
The book club meets again on November 26 and will be reading Ice Twins. October 20 sees the next Walking Group event and the Rail Group is off to Liverpool on December 2.
