Lower Peover WI by Glynis Knott

Lower Peover WI held a hugely successful garden meeting recently, inviting friends from other local WI groups to an evening of friendship with informative and entertaining speakers John and Annette Christophers, highly skilled potters.

They were pleased to have Gillian Pierce as guest speaker, who helped them to understand the elements of the Alexander Technique, a practical way of helping to look at the way we move and use our bodies in everyday life.

They have also enjoyed a book club meeting, joined with other members to visit the Bishop’s House in Chester and enjoyed an afternoon at Gawsworth Hall, celebrating the WI 100 year anniversary. Their keen walkers and ramblers have organised the county walk around the beautiful countryside of Lower and Over Peover.

Meetings continue to be held on the first Wednesday of each month in the school hall of Lower Peover School. Friends and visitors are most welcome.
