WILMSLOW estate agent Gascoigne Halman was awarded the Northern Medium Sized Silver Award at The Estate Agency of the Year Awards 2015 in association with The Sunday Times and The Times.

This is the fourth time the estate agency has picked up this award.

In December, more than 650 leading property professionals from throughout the UK attended a ceremony at The Lancaster London Hotel in London where the winners of the most highly regarded awards in the estate agency industry were revealed.

The winners were presented with their awards by former international rugby star Matt Dawson, with renowned journalist, author and newsreader Penny Smith acting as compere.

Award winners were decided following a rigorous and thorough judging process by a panel of 20 industry experts who assessed initial entry submissions before conducting an extensive review of the entrants, which included more than 150 hours of telephone interviews and independent mystery shopping exercises.

The judges were particularly impressed with the high levels of staff retention present at Gascoigne Halman.

They also noted their impressive attention to detail and understanding the importance of getting the basics right. Furthermore, the judges commented on the high expectations of customer service as well as the great team dynamics.

John Halman said: "“We are delighted to be awarded silver.

"This achievement is due to our professionalism displayed by our teams, and the positive feedback we receive from clients.

"Our high percentage of staff retention shows that we have a healthy working environment and results in our team being present at the offices for a number of years, meaning we have extensive knowledge of the local area and are longstanding members of the local community."
