AMNESTY bins will be available in Knutsford as police crackdown on knife crime.
Operation Sceptre, a national campaign, is coming into force throughout November to prevent serious injury and save lives.
Cheshire Police will be supporting the campaign to keep knives off the streets by directly targeting knife carriers.
Young people will be warned about the dangers and impact of choosing to carry a blade.
Activities during the operation will include community knife sweeps, the execution of warrants in relation to knife crime, engagement in the community and stepping up patrols in hotspot areas.

Local officers from Knutsford will be holding knife amnesty events at the police station on Saturday, November 21 and Sunday, November 22, from 2pm to 3pm.
The amnesty gives members of the public the chance to dispose of a knife anonymously with no questions asked, by simply depositing it into a special bin.
People surrendering knives are not required to give any personal details.
Supt Cath Jones, Cheshire Police knife crime lead, said: “We will be engaging with retailers who have a crucial role in ensuring these potentially dangerous and lethal weapons do not fall into the wrong hands.

“When someone chooses to carry a knife, it is only a matter of time before they, or someone else, sustains a life-changing or fatal injury.
“If you choose to carry a knife, you are much more likely to be involved in knife crime.
“We are particularly proud that knife crime remains low in Cheshire, but we have seen a considerable number of people across the county choosing to carry knives and bladed weapons.
“This is something we will not tolerate.”
Any unwanted sharp instruments such as kitchen knives, tools, scissors, display knives and swords can be handed in.
