POLICE have launched an investigation after the bodies of a man and woman were found at a home in Wilmslow.
Officers were called to an address in Grange Park Avenue at 3.43pm on Saturday, September 12, following concerns raised for the welfare of the occupants.
On arrival, the bodies of a 78-year-old man and a 79-year-old woman were discovered at the property.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the incident, but Cheshire Police said officers do not believe there is any third-party involvement.
Detective Inspector Robert Lees said: "We understand the concern this incident will have likely caused in the local community, and I would like to reassure residents that a thorough investigation is being carried out, and we are not looking for anyone else in relation to this matter.
“Our thoughts remain with the family and loved ones of those involved.”
