A MAN has been hit with a £250 court penalty for failing to give police information to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.
Steve Reszka, 71, of Longridge, Knutsford, pleaded guilty to the offence at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on November 7.
A police officer had requested information relating to the identity of the driver of a Chrysler on August 8, this year.
The driver was alleged to have been guilty of an offence, the court heard.
The defendant did not attend the court hearing.
Reszka was fined £120 and ordered to pay £48 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
His driving licence was also endorsed with six points.
Magistrates took his guilty plea into consideration when imposing the sentence.
The defendant was given until December 5 to pay the £258 court penalty.
