A CHESHIRE hotel has unveiled its £1.2million refurbishment project blending the modern and contemporary vibe with 17th Century opulence.
Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa – just a short drive down the M6 – has completed the year-long renovations in the Grade I listed mansion, showcasing the venue’s striking historic feature rooms and stained glass windows.
The Sheridan Bar, which offers bespoke signature and classic cocktails, is a new addition to the large reception room in the old hall, promising to be the perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine after check-in or a relaxing drink in the evening once you’ve had dinner.
Named after playwright and politician Richard Brinsley Sheridan, a friend of the first Lord Crewe and his wife Frances, the bar celebrates this historical connection in a chic, modern ambience.
The £1.2million investment also includes a complete overhaul of the guest bedrooms in the modern wing as well as extensive updates in the mansion building to its state banqueting rooms, most notably the meticulous restoration of the Long Gallery, which overlooks the hotel’s gardens.
David Rowley, general manager of Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa, said: “With the extensive refurbishment now complete, we are excited to present the enhanced offerings at Crewe Hall.
“The Moët & Chandon Champagne bar, along with upgraded bedrooms and revitalised event spaces, represents our commitment to providing top-tier hospitality.
“These improvements position us strongly in the market and offer our guests an exceptional experience.”
Crewe Hall Hotel & Spa, which is part of QHotels Collection has just been shortlisted in the upcoming MIA List 2024 Awards (Meetings Industry Association) where it is one of the finalists to be named Venue of the Year (under 300 rooms).
The final stage of judging is down to customer and guest votes, with voting closing on Wednesday, October 2.
