A PORSCHE driver clocked speeding on the M6 has been banned from the road due to ‘repeat offending’.
Andrew Baker, of Hollow Lane, Knutsford, entered a guilty plea at Chester Magistrates’ Court on September 25 to exceeding the speed limit.
The 55-year-old was caught on an automatic speed camera driving a Porsche on the M6 southbound between junctions 17 and 16 on April 20, this year.
The defendant was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months.
Magistrates said disqualification was obligatory ‘due to repeat offending’.
His driving licence was endorsed with four points.
Baker was fined £1,538 and ordered to pay £615 victim surcharge and £110 costs.
Magistrates took his guilty plea into consideration when imposing the sentence.
The defendant was given until October 25 to pay the £2,263 court penalty.
