A MAN who got behind the wheel whilst being almost four times the legal drug limit has been banned from the road.
Shane Davies, of Tarporley Walk, Wilmslow, admitted drug driving when the case was heard at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on September 19.
The 32-year-old was driving a Volkswagen Golf on Congleton Road on April 6, this year, when he was stopped by the police.

A subsequent blood test recorded Davies had not less than 197 micrograms of Benzoylecgonine per litre in his blood.
The legal limit for this cocaine breakdown product is 50 micrograms per litre of blood.
Davies also pleaded guilty to having not less than 14 micrograms of cocaine per litre in his blood on the same day.
The legal limit is 10 micrograms of the drug per litre of blood.
The defendant also admitted using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance and driving without the correct licence on the same day as the drug offences.
Davies was disqualified from driving for 12 months.
Disqualification is obligatory for drug driving offences, the court heard.
His driving licence was endorsed but no points were added.
The defendant was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
Magistrates took his guilty plea into consideration when imposing the penalty.
