The Green Room opened its doors on October 30, 1924, the same year Coward achieved his first great commercial success with The Vortex.
Present Laughter, is considered one of Coward's finest works.
A sparkling comedy, it offers the audience a glimpse into the life of Garry Essendine, a successful and self-absorbed actor who is grappling with the highs and lows of his personal and professional life.
With its witty dialogue, complex characters, and sharp insights into the world of theatre, the play continues to captivate audiences almost 85 years after its debut.
Director Matthew Smith said: “The play is a testament to Noël Coward's brilliance as a playwright and a great choice to kick off our 100-year celebrations as it’s so evocative of the era in which we started.
“Coward was best known for his highly polished comedies of manners, sharp wit, and memorable characters, and the enduring appeal of this play make it a must-see for theatre lovers of all ages.
“Whether you're a fan of classic comedy or simply looking for an evening of sophisticated entertainment, Present Laughter is sure to leave you smiling long after the final curtain falls.”
Each performance starts at 7.45pm.
There is an afternoon matinee on Saturday, October 19 at 2.30pm.
Tickets cost £10 for members, £12 full price.
