A WOMAN has been hit with a £1,000 court penalty for failing to give police information to identify a driver suspected of committing an offence.
The case against Letitia Sandys, 29, of Brindley Grove, Wilmslow, was heard at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on August 1.
A police officer had requested information relating to the identity of the driver of a BMW vehicle on June 24, this year.
The driver was alleged to have been guilty of an offence.
Magistrates found the case proved after listening to the evidence.
Knight was fined £660 and ordered to pay £264 victim surcharge and £90 costs.
Her driving licence was also endorsed with six points.
Sandys was given until September 26 to pay the £1,014 court bill.
