POLICE are appealing for information following a burglary in Knutsford.

A silver Volvo was stolen as trespassers broke into a home on the Longridge Estate.

This happened sometime between 5.20am on May 29 and 5am on June 4.

The offender, or offenders, gained entry to the property before making an 'untidy search' in the bedroom.

Along with the car they stole jewellery from a safe, cash, a television and a Nintendo Switch.

Police are now urging anyone with information to get in touch.

A spokesperson for the force said: “There has been a burglary and a theft of a motor vehicle on the Longridge Estate in Knutsford.

“The offender(s) have gained entry to the property as trespassers, have made an untidy search in the bedrooms, opened the safe and stole a quantity of jewellery, cash, a television, a Nintendo Switch and the victim's vehicle.

“The offender(s) then leave as entry and make off with the stolen vehicle.
