A KNUTSFORD man has been banned from the roads for a year after driving while on cannabis.
Wilhelm Lerch, of Longridge, was driving a Peugeot 308 along Brook Street in the town on November 10 when he was caught last year.
A subsequent blood test revealed the 42-year-old had 2.2µg/L pf delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, a component of cannabis, in his system.
The legal limit is 2µg/L.
Appearing at Crewe Magistrates Court on May 9, Lerch admitted drug-driving.
Taking his plea into account, magistrates disqualified him from driving for 12 months and fined him £500.
Lerch was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge of £200.
