ROAST beef or roast chicken? Lamb or pork? A Yorkshire pudding with every meat or just roast beef?

What makes the perfect roast dinner? Lashings of gravy and two types of vegetables? Crispy roast potatoes or creamy mash?

Where in Mid Cheshire serves the best roast dinner?

It’s a tradition that dates back hundreds of years to King Henry VII’s rule in the 15th Century – the roast dinner.

Originally eaten after church on a Sunday, the British classic is eaten by millions every week - for lunch or dinner – and everyone has their own take on what should be served.

In our Best of 2024 competition, we’ve searched for Mid Cheshire’s Best for Hair, Best for Pies and Best for Nails and our latest category will focus on roast dinners.

We know there are lots of great places serving delicious roast dinners in Mid Cheshire so, let us know who deserves to be featured in our final shortlist and why.

So far in our Best of 2024 competition, we’ve searched for Mid Cheshire’s Best for Hair, Best for Pies and Best for Nails with the shortlist for the area’s Best for Nails revealed yesterday, Thursday.

Vote for Mid Cheshire's Best for Nails 2024

This week, it’s roast dinners and we know it will be no easy feat to choose a winner which is why we’ll be handing over the final decision to those who know best – our readers.

HOW IT WORKS:

Each Friday morning we will reveal new categories via our social media pages and ask you who is the best. Nominations will then close each Monday morning at 12pm.

Every Thursday we will publish a shortlist of finalists with voting officially opening.

You will be able to vote in one of three ways:

- By commenting under the relevant post on our Northwich Guardian, Winsford and Middlewich Guardian and Knutsford Guardian Facebook and Twitter pages = 1 vote

- By entering via the online article on our Northwich and Winsford Guardian and Knutsford Guardian websites = 2 votes

- By entering via our Northwich and Winsford Guardian and Knutsford Guardian newspaper = 5 votes

Voting closes each Sunday evening at midnight.

The following Wednesday evening we will announce the winner of that category on social media.

Usual Newsquest competition rules apply.
