A pub landlord is holding a three-day musical extravaganza to celebrate 35 years as landlord of a famous Saddleworth hostelry.
Stewart Thewlis took on The Bulls Head in King Street Delph, on April 19 1989 at 10.30 am.
Since then he has become one of the community’s well-respected landlords running a business which is famed for friendliness and strong music connections.
When asked why he first took the pub on, the 67-year-old said:” I was daft for doing it!”
He added: “There have been some tough times in the trade and thousands of pubs about to hit the market. But I’ve no intention of moving.
“It’s tough sometimes — and a big laugh others. And you have to be tenacious and I want to share my 35 years with a musical milestone.”
The three-day 'Bullfest' will start on the anniversary, with DJ Bernie playing '8 til late' on Friday, April 19.
On Saturday, State of Confusion will play live from 9pm with support from 8pm.
Then on Sunday there will be a happy hour from 3pm to 5pm followed by Lemonade playing live from 5pm.
