A CHESHIRE restaurant features on a world map of food landmarks.

Coca-Cola, in partnership with Time Out, has shared an interactive map of ‘Foodmarks’ – a collection of more than 1,500 venues and experiences across the globe.

Each Foodmark must have three things – a perfect moment, a perfect meal and an ice-cold Coca-Cola.

Among them is The Botanist in Alderley Edge.

Cariad Eccles, social media manager at Time Out, said: “This is mine and my husband's frequent date night spot where we can enjoy a cosy dinner.

“It's also the place we first met—so it's pretty magical to us!”

Elif Kaypak, global brand marketing lead at Coca-Cola, added: "Foodmarks wield the extraordinary power to transcend borders and tell stories of shared experiences and cultural significance.

“They are a testament to the universal language of mealtime.”

There are 1,610 Foodmarks in total, with 30 of these found in the UK.

Also representing the northwest is Mowgli in Liverpool.

Mowgli is a chain of Indian street food restaurants created by celebrity chef Nisha Katona, starting with the Liverpool venue.

TikTok food fanatic Claire Ford: “Tasty food you can share!

“The food is bright, a little different and a meal at Mowgli is made even more magical with a Coca-Cola Zero Sugar.”

Thankfully you soon won’t have to travel to Liverpool to see what all the fuss is about.

A Mowgli restaurant is set to open in Knutsford at the former Barclays Bank on King Street.

Nisha, who recently appeared on the judging panel of Great British Menu, has shared a peek inside the building which dates back to the early 20th century.

She said: “I love this stage, the blank canvas design stage.

“It’s still an entirely personal process because Mowgli will always be an often flawed but always authentic extension of my own home kitchen."
