A WOMAN has been banned from the road ‘due to repeat offending’.
Lucy Dale, of Holmes Chapel Road, Over Peover, Knutsford, pleaded guilty to refusing to give police the name of a driver suspected of committing an offence.
The 40-year-old appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court when the case was heard on March 13.
An officer from Cheshire Police had requested the name of the driver of a BMW on July 25, last year.
The motorist is alleged to have been guilty of a road traffic offence, the court heard.
Dale was fined £150 and ordered to pay £110 costs and £60 victim surcharge.
The defendant was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months ‘due to repeat offending’.
Magistrates took her guilty plea into consideration when imposing the sentence.
Dale was given until April 14 to pay the £320 court penalty.
