Cheshire police said one driver was rude to officers as they used the speed camera.

Posting on social media, PCSO Evan Morris said: “Ten vehicles in total were recorded exceeding the limit and the drivers will receive details of further action in due course.

“Although the two-finger salute was a clear indication of their feelings toward speed enforcement, the best way to share your opinions on policing priorities is to submit a quick survey.”

Drivers are being urged to slow down.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “Do not drive over the speed limit as the consequences can be quite traumatic.”
