A TINY plot of land is to go under the hammer.

Located in The Carrs, the plot measures just 0.005 acres and has a guide price of £8,500.

Despite its 'unusual' nature, current owners Asset Invest believe it has potential.

“It is perfectly placed to capture passing trade, occupying a prime position in the designated picnic area on the banks of the river,” said a spokesperson for the firm.

“It is an excellent opportunity to run pop-up events, or as a permanent refreshment pit-stop for park visitors”.

The Carrs is a 71-acre park in Wilmslow enjoyed by thousands of people each year, serving as a popular spot for scenic walks, summer picnics and river paddling.

Accessed via Cliff Road, the plot of land in question is located on the south side of Billin Hill, close to the main walking route along the River Bollin.

It could also be used as a recreational area or a private allotment.

However, prospective buyers are advised to make their own enquiries regarding planning and any other consents or rights over the land.

Auction House Cheshire, Staffordshire & Shropshire will be selling the site via an online auction on Monday (March 11).

Starting at 1pm, the bidding is open for just 24 hours.

“With seven people already ‘watching’ the lot and waiting for bidding to open, it’s proving to be a speculative opportunity not to be missed,” said a spokesman for Auction House.
