A DRIVER has been clocked speeding at 96mph on a motorway.

Alina Ohandjanian, of Clay Lane, Handforth, Wilmslow, pleaded guilty to exceeding the 70mph speed limit at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on January 31.

The 21-year-old was caught on camera driving a Chrysler on the M62 westbound in Salford between junction 12 and 11 at 96mph on July 7, last year.

Magistrates took her guilty plea into account when imposing the sentence.

Ohandjanian was fined £141 and ordered to pay £90 costs and £56 victim surcharge.

Her driving licence was also endorsed with five points.

The defendant was granted permission to pay the £287 court penalty by March 13.
