POLICE have clocked more than 40 drivers speeding on residential roads in Knutsford.
Officers have slammed motorists for ‘ignoring’ 30mph signs on Chester Road and Tabley Road.
One driver was caught on camera hurtling along Chester Road at 54mph.
The alarming speeds have prompted police to urge drivers to slow down.
This is the latest in a spate of road safety checks.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police posted on social media: “Speed enforcement operations were carried out on February 18 and 19 on Chester Road and Tabley Road.
“Over 40 vehicles were caught speeding with the fastest going at 54mph on Chester Road.
“Do not drive over the speed limit as all road users are put at risk including property.”
