A FLURRY of snow created a perfect setting for the Christmas lights switch-on.

Hundreds of people lined the streets to watch the Santa parade on Saturday.

Local musicians, dance troupes and performers kept shoppers, visitors and families entertained during the afternoon.

More than 120 artisan traders at the Christmas market gave the town a festive feel.

A selection of local goods provided plenty of gift ideas.

Street food, bars selling cocktails, beers and mulled wine created a relaxing, holiday atmosphere.

Santa travelled along King Street and Minshull Street on his sleigh to claps and cheers from the crowd.

The City of Chester Brass Band and performances from Travelling Light Circus created a jolly vibe.

The lights were switched on in Canute Place by the mayor of Knutsford Cllr Peter Coan.

Children visited Santa in his grotto on Silk Mill Street, kindly supported by the Children’s Adventure Farm Trust (CAFT) and Knutsford Hosts.
