AN imaginative festive event at Tatton Park has already attracted thousands of visitors.

The enchanting Christmas mansion only opened its doors last week.

Visitors have been transported to the magical world of Alice in Wonderland, with a range of interactive characters and immersive displays.

The mansion is beautifully decorated with illuminative displays and offers a range of experiences for all ages.

Plenty of spots have been created to capture playful pictures include the sparkling rabbit hole or the magical Duchess’s garden, adorned with whimsical flowers.

A bench adorned with colourful blooms makes an ideal setting for a selfie.

Visitors can meet the Queen of Hearts as her cook waits to greet guests with festive treats in a decorated kitchen.

The Mad Hatter’s hat, Alice’s giant key and many more fun-filled props can be found throughout the mansion.

A spectacular 18ft Christmas tree in Cupola Hall has been beautifully decorated.

Children can have fun in the magic mirrors where they can both shrink and grow like Alice in the story.

Carolyn Latham and Vicky Rowbotham, the mansion and collections managers, said: “We are thrilled with the response to Welcome to Wonderland: The Christmas Mansion.

“The mansion team have worked hard to create an immersive and magical experience for our visitors.

“It’s wonderful to see that they are enjoying it so much.”

Little ones will love spotting the white rabbit as they explore the staterooms and servants’ quarters.

Older visitors can share their own tea party traditions and Christmas dreams on a wish tree.

Craft activities for children are held during the weekends.

Youngsters can made their own Cheshire cat or little caterpillar to take home.

Visitors are encouraged to book in advance although tickets are available on the day from the mansion entrance.
