POLICE are appealing for information after an expensive watch was stolen from a property in Wilmslow.

Burglars also helped themselves to gold bracelets.

Police were called to reports of a burglary at 4.15pm on Saturday, November 18.

Officers were told that intruders had forced their way into the property through a back door between 2.30pm on Friday, November 17 and 4.15pm on Saturday, November 18.

Once inside, burglars ransacked rooms, searching for valuables and stole a number of items including watches and jewellery.

Enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made.

People living in the area are urged to be vigilant.

Residents are being advised to keep valuables out view through windows.

If you are going out, double check that all doors and window are locked and use a timer to switch lights on and off so it appears as if someone is at home.
