FAMILIES enjoyed spectacular fireworks in a Cheshire village.
Children and parents came together to watch a dazzling display staged by Mere and Tabley parish councils.
The sky lit up in a kaleidoscope of colours, synchronised to music, on Saturday evening.

Kathryn Whitlow, clerk of Mere Parish Council, said: “A spectacular fireworks display was held at Mere and Tabley Community Club.
“It was a very well attended and enjoyable evening.

“A big thank you to all who helped to make this year’s event such a success.”
Jacksons barbecue launched the event with a selection of food.

A children’s ‘frightening fancy dress’ competition was held after the fireworks display, followed by the best pumpkin carving contest.
A grand raffle, compered by Neil Stott, with help from Tatton MP Esther McVey and Cllr Vicky Bennett.
