A FUN-LOVING dad has transformed his garden into a spooktacular Halloween horror spectacle.
Dan McCaffery spends weeks painstakingly setting up the spine-tingling display, introducing shocking new surprises each year.
All sorts of ghouls, ghosts and demons are lit up and move to make people jump.
A spooky witch called Lethal Lily has been shipped over specially from America to enthrall visitors.
“Lily looks like an animatronic in a Disneyland theme park,” said the dad-of-two, from Holmes Chapel.
“Her eyes move around.
“She has eight servo motors in her head to make her move and give her a realistic look.
“There is big hype around her in America so I thought she’d be amazing.
“A friend of mine kindly sent her over.”
A 10-foot reaper, pirate ship, dragon, the Headless Horseman and banjo playing skeletons are among some of the many other eerie attractions.
“It’s crazy,” said Dan, 39, who works at Morreys DIY store.
“I’ve always loved Halloween and enjoy doing this.
“It’s just got bigger and crazier every year.”
Dan started his ghoulish passion when his children, Finn, 10, and Ella, seven were growing up.
The family has been raising funds for St Luke’s Hospice for the past three years.
“My wife Katie’s dad, Peter Rawlinson died four years ago,” said Dan.
“The hospice did such an amazing job looking after him, we wanted to give something back.
“Katie has walked on hot coals and I’ve done a zip wire in Wales.
“This year, we’d like to try and raise even more.”
Jumping spiders, including one that is three-foot high, promise to entertain children as they roam round the village on a spooky spider trail.
“My children both absolutely love it all,” said Dan. “They point things out when people come to see it.
“The police pulled up last year and I thought I was in trouble as a lot of cars stop here.
“But they got out and donated some money, which was brilliant.
“Every year, we pack it all into the loft but we’ve got so much now, we’ll have to put some things into my mother-in-law’s garage.
“I keep buying new things. I can’t help myself.
“I’m just a kid at heart.”
Dan’s 'Medieval Manor' is on Station Road, near the roundabout at the bottom of Manor Lane.
The incredible display is so big and lit up at night, you can’t miss it.
