A MAIN road in Alderley Edge was closed after a collision involving a cyclist and a pedestrian earlier today, Saturday.
Cheshire Police confirmed a collision had taken place at approximately 2pm on London Road.
Road closures had been put in place on the road between Heyes Lane and Clifton Street while the incident was being dealt with.
Sadly the cyclist had to be taken to hospital after sustaining injuries.
The road was reopened an hour later at approximately 3pm.
A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "A collision occurred between a cyclist and a pedestrian. The cyclist has been taken to hospital. Thank you for the patience of drivers and the support of local businesses."
