A POLICE helicopter has been searching all night for a missing woman.
Thankfully, the 88-year-old woman, from Goostrey, was found safely this morning, Friday.
Cheshire Search and Rescue and the police helicopter launched the hunt after the woman disappeared last night.
A police spokesman said: “At 10.30pm on Thursday, September 28, police were called to reports of a missing 88-year-old woman in the Goostrey area.
“Local officers, supported by Cheshire Search and Rescue and the police helicopter, searched throughout the night and the woman was located shortly after 9am today.”
Officers carried out door-to-door enquiries and distributed leaflets throughout the village, with pictures of the missing woman.
Residents were urging to check CCTV cameras, sheds and outbuildings.
