A PLUCKY cyclist braved the dark and cold to help conquer breast, cervical and ovarian cancers.
Sarah Vickers joined thousands of fundraisers for Woman V Cancer Ride The Night, a charity event making its debut in Manchester.
With grit and determination, she completed the gruelling 50km marathon through the city’s streets in just three hours and 20 minutes.

Sarah, Carefound Home Care’s recruitment and community manager at the Wilmslow branch, said: “I thoroughly enjoyed this challenge.
“Witnessing the city’s iconic landmarks illuminated at night was truly captivating.
“However, the last six miles proved to be the toughest stretch.
“Battling the darkness, rain, and cold, I was determined to keep pedalling.
“The camaraderie among participants was heart-warming.
“I’m already committed to signing up for next year.”
Sarah raised £130 for three women’s cancer charities, Breast Cancer Now, Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust and Ovarian Cancer Action.
These organisations work towards raising awareness, offering support, and funding crucial research for breast, ovarian, and cervical cancers.
