INSPIRATION to give your home or garden a makeover are being offered at a special event.

Knutsford At Home offers the chance to meet design specialists, pick up free tips and learn tricks of the trade.

Leading experts will be giving talks and offering advice at shops across the town on Saturday, September 16.

This imaginative event provides a chance to develop ideas to create a cosy, calming sanctuary at home as autumn approaches.

The day’s programme is full of interesting talks, presentations, one-off offers as well as fizz and goody bags.

Sandra Curties, Knutsford Town Council’s town centre manager, said: “The day’s programme is fantastic and ideal for all home enthusiasts.

“You can book a talk and pick up gardening advice from RHS member and ex-head Gardener of Tatton Park Sam Youd at Sofas and Stuff, create a mood board at Susie Watson Designs and even hop on a Havwood’s Routemaster bus to find out about all things flooring”.

Businesses taking part include Aperture Doors, Arthur Lee, Detaljer, Flock of Arts, Havwoods, Holly Johnson Antiques, Kendal Quality Carpets, Oka, Sofas and Stuff, Suzy Watson Designs, and Terzetto.

Ben Whittaker of Flock of Arts said: “We are delighted to be taking part in this event and love the collaboration with the other interior shops.

“We will be focusing on the importance of colour and style when choosing a frame as well as showcasing our eclectic range of antiques.”

Lyndsey of Havwoods said: “We are excited to bring our famous Havwoods Routemaster Bus to Knutsford.

“You will find the bus outside the Lost & Found providing an additional location for us alongside our Regent Street showroom, which is open for visitors to discover our beautiful range of luxury wood flooring and cladding products."

Aperture will be offering goody bags and fizz as they demonstrate their door biometrics.

Bubby and free gifts will also be available at Arthur Lee Interiors as staff launch their new Farrow and Ball paint mixing machine.

Decorative and surface designer Diane Marsland will be demonstrating her techniques for hand painting silk cushions at Holly Johnson Antiques.

Refreshments and goody backs will be available.

Cocktails and soft drinks will be served at KQC Flooring as specialists offer advice on flooring.

Floral masterclasses will be held at OKA furniture store where every goody bag will contain a raffle ticket with a chance to win a prize from their new autumn range.

Sam Youd, former head gardener at Tatton Park will be hosting two talks entitled ‘Serenity in and out of the Garden’ at Sofas & Stuff.

Fizz will welcome guests as staff discuss their exclusive range of RHS fabrics.

Mood board workshops will be held at Susie Watson Designs, where fizz and homemade treats will be served.

Free design consultations and discounts on selected products will be available at Terzetto alongside refreshments.

Bookings must be made for the talks, workshops and special presentations.
