KNUTSFORD residents and businesses are invited to have a say on the future of a residential neighbourhood.

Great Places Housing Group is asking local community groups and people in the Longridge and Shaw Heath area to take part in a survey to help shape its plans and priorities in the area.

The housing association, which has around 400 properties in Longridge and Shaw Heath, is currently in the process of reviewing its neighbourhood master plan for the area.

Alongside the views of its customers, the housing group is asking local people and businesses to add their views to help shape its plans which will help guide their future work in the area.

Rhian Stratton, regeneration project director at Great Places, who is overseeing the project, said: “This year we’re preparing a new neighbourhood plan that will look to the future of our Longridge and Shaw Heath communities with people’s views always in mind.

"We will be considering matters such as the quality of the environment and outside spaces, investment in homes, how to meet our carbon reduction targets and climate change, how to plan for people’s changing housing, family and health needs, and what services or support are needed.

“By considering what the priorities are, we’ll be able to work more closely with other local organisations to make improvements, and to access funding required to start delivering projects on the ground.

“It’s an exciting time and a great opportunity for local people and businesses to get involved in helping us plan for the future.”

People can take part in the survey by visiting ourvoice.greatplaces.org.uk/planning-for-the-future-in-longridge-and-shaw-heath and registering to take part.

Surveys completed before midnight on Sunday, July 23, will be entered into a prize draw with a chance to win a £100 Love2shop e-gift card/voucher.
