KNUTSFORD has been named as one of the most desirable places to live in the UK.

Although the majority of towns are in the south east, Knutsford has made its way onto the list and has been ranked 35 out of 50.

In new research commissioned by The Telegraph, towns were ranked using several factors including state of health, cost of homes, the jobs people living there have and qualifications they hold.

Estate agents Savills were tasked with putting together the list, using the latest data from the most recent census.

The market town has a lot to offer for everyone whether that is just appreciating its history or enjoying the many restaurants, pubs and shops on offer.

And Knutsford hosts a number of celebrations throughout the year including Knutsford Music Festival and Knutsford Royal May Day.

Joining Knutsford on the list is Lymm in Warrington at 22 and Wilmslow at 23.
