SPANISH sunshine is coming to Knutsford!

Celebrity bar Dexter and Jones, run by former Coronation Street star Adam Rickitt and wife Katy, a Good Morning Britain news presenter, is hosting a Classic Ibiza taster showcase on Sunday, May 28.

The hour-long performance starts at 3pm in the Princess Street bar and will give guests a taste of what to expect at the summer show at Tatton Park on August 12.

“Ourselves and our customers grew up with these tunes.

“We can’t wait to rediscover our misspent youths with our customers and friends and the best tipples!”

The 32-piece Urban Soul Orchestra will be scaled down a bit to fit into the beer garden.

“When the guys approached us we knew it would be right up our alley,” said Katy.

“And that’s where the party will be on Sunday, through the alley and into the beer garden, where you’ll hear the dulcet tones of vocals, violins and saxophones bringing the Ibiza sun to Knutsford.”

Lisa Ward, who promotes Classic Ibiza, said: “Finding a venue big enough for the 32-piece Urban Soul Orchestra was a bit of a challenge, so we've scaled things back for the weekend.

"That said, it’s not every day you get to hear house music being performed live in your local by an orchestra who have played with the likes of Groove Armada and Nightmares on Wax.

“With the sun also due to make an appearance, who needs the Balearics?”
