AN inquest has been opened into the death of a man who was found with ‘unexplained’ serious injuries at his home in Cheshire.

Emergency services were called at around 9.40pm on Thursday, March 23, to an address on Ansdell Road in Widnes where they found Slawomir Grzegorz Sobolewski had sustained serious injuries.

A hearing taking place at Warrington Coroner's Court on Wednesday heard the 61-year-old was then taken to Whiston Hospital.

He died around two weeks later on April 9 and the cause of his death is currently under investigation.
