A PIGEON trapped in netting has been rescued by firefighters.
The distressed bird was stuck on King Street in Knutsford.
The RSPCA asked firefighters to help retrieve the pigeon yesterday, Monday.

A spokesman for Knutsford Fire Station posted on social media: “The pigeon was recovered safely and handed over the RSPCA for a period of re’coop’eration.”
The RSPCA says there is a risk that birds may suffer and die from injury or starvation when they get trapped in netting.
