Each bunny has a letter on it which can be used to spell a phrase.

An Easter bonnet competition is also being held.

Everyone who enters will receive a gift and prizes will be awarded to the best three.

Children are invited to wear their Easter bonnets and gather outside Knutsford Olde Sweet Shoppe on King Street, where they will be judged at 10.30am.

The trail runs from 10am to 4pm and there will be entertainment including balloon modelling in Knutsford Market Hall.

Free gifts will be available from local businesses.

The Angel on King Street is also hosting an Easter colouring competition.

An Easter egg hamper is up for grabs as first prize and two runners up will also receive gifts.

A cupcake decorating station is being held in the restaurant at The Courthouse Hotel on Toft Road.

Alex Brown, events officer at Knutsford Town Council, said: “We are so excited.

“The Bunny Hop is a lovely Easter event where many of our local businesses get involved in the fun.

“Bring your Easter bonnets along and don’t forget to pick up your entry form in advance from many town centre businesses.”

Bunny Hop competition entries can be submitted in a special post box outside Knutsford Olde Sweet Shoppe or at the town council offices.

Neptune Ltd and Slater and Gordon Lawyers have been thanked for sponsoring the event.
