A new dog walking group has been created in Mobberley.

The first event was hailed a huge success after attracting 16 dog lovers and their pets.

The idea is the brainchild of Cllr Hannah Moss, chairman of Mobberley Parish Council.

She said: “The walks are around 40-50 minutes long designed for all ages and all dogs.

“The idea is to promote wellness and help combat loneliness, by bringing people together to collaborate and connect over their mutual love of our furry friends.

“It is also a great way to get your steps in and make a walk more enjoyable.”

The first walk followed the Pavement Lane loop leading back along Mobberley Service Road.

Feedback was very positive. Everyone asked for more events to be organised.

The next walk will be held on Wednesday, March 8, leaving from the Rajar Building at 4.30pm.
