A MAN was caught riding an e-bike the wrong way up the motorway.
Cheshire Police heard reports this morning, Sunday, of a man riding northbound on the M6 between junctions 18, for Northwich and Middlewich, and Junction 19, for Knutsford.
The man was riding in lane four, towards oncoming traffic.
Luckily, he did not cause a crash.
Once police located him, he was removed from danger.
Officers say he will be summonsed to appear in court.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “We received multiple calls earlier regarding a male on an electric bike on the M6 northbound between junctions 18 and 19 of a cyclist riding in lane 4 towards oncoming traffic.
“Thankfully he didn't cause a collision and police escorted the male off the motorway. He is being summonsed to court.”
