IMAGINATIVE residents are invited to name this new care home for a cash prize of £250.

Care UK is currently building a new care home on Manchester Road and is calling on local history enthusiasts for a name that will reflect the uniqueness of the area.

The community is being encouraged to share their suggestions based on Wilmslow’s history, landmarks or famous locals.

Joshua Jones, development project manager for Care UK, said: “Wilmslow is one of our most exciting projects to date so we’d like to involve the community to help us find a befitting name.

“Our Wilmslow care home is set to become a community hub once open so we’re excited to hear what local people feel its name should be.

“The town is rich in history and I’m sure locals have countless stories to tell.

“Whether you think the home should be named after a famous resident or local beauty spot, we can’t wait to hear your suggestions.”

The new home, set to open in December 2024, will encourage residents to lead active and fulfilled lives.

Plenty of space will be included for people to pursue hobby and leisure activities.

The layout of the building will be designed in a series of individual suites, each having a dedicated lounge and dining room to help facilitate the creation of close knit communities.
