POLICE are investigating a series of arson attacks after woodlands have been torched by vandals.

Firefighters have attended a number of fires in the Londridge woodlands area of Knutsford over the past two months.

Crews say the fires were caused by ‘deliberate ignition’ and pose a serious risk to the community.

The fires could not only spread but also tie up firefighters and resources when they may be needed to deal with serious and life-threatening incidents.
