POLICE are investigating a burglary after a number of high value items were stolen.

Offenders broke into a house in Great Warford and helped themselves to valuable property including a Swarovski riding helmet and several pairs of designer shoes.

The burglary took place between 10pm on Wednesday, August 17 and 5.45am on Thursday, August 18 on Warford Hall Drive.

Gucci and Mythersa slides for women were among the items stolen.

A Bottega Veneta Lido flat sandal, Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 38 trainers and Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 ‘Ash Stone’ trainers were also taken.

Officers are now appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

PC Mark Stringer said: “Home is where someone should feel the safest but when a burglar strikes, it no longer feels a safe place.

“I want to reassure the local community that enquiries in relation to this incident are ongoing and that we are committed to ensuring those responsible are brought to justice.

“As part of our enquiries we are appealing to anyone who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the Warford Hall area at the time of the incident to contact us.

“The same goes to anyone who may have witnessed anything or may have information that they believe could assist in our investigation.”
